This is exactly what mine looks like, same pro clip side angle mount.only I used the ProClip dock with the Dice unit rather than the Dice dock. My question is - what have you found to be a good solution and does anyone have personal experience with the Dice hookup? That's the one I want, but certainly don't want problems. They suggested the simpler plug in, scroll using your iPod as seen here with no OEM Radio text display: He also indicated the scroll menu on the radio was extremely slow and not worth it. However, my local install shop says they've had about a 1 in 5 fail rate of the Dice hookups where the OEM radio will suddenly not recognize your iPod. For reference, I have the Audi Symphony with a large display.Įnfig recommended the Dice version below, which I believe allows me to leave the iPod in the glove box while charging and scroll through the menus - retaining my steering wheel controls and viewing text on the radio screen.ĮDIT: Mike recommended the Dension unit which is what I ended up purchasing (WORKS GREAT!): Whereas, some aftermarket versions integrate nicely with the OEM radios. My understanding is the OEM Audi version does not display text on the radio screen, only track 1, 2, 300000. In my search for an IPod interface I have learned pretty much every solution from OEM to aftermarket are very different.
